Review: Gastronomicom
Gastronomicom is a school where one should go if: 1.) They want to learn about wine (EXCELLENT TEACHER) 2.) They are NEW to the Culinary world. 3.) They want to improve or learn proper French Language. 4.) They have a small budget, go for it. 5.) They want a Diploma in 3 months. Gastronomicom is not a good school if one is: 1.) Already fluent in French Language 2.) Already familiar with Culinary Arts (don't bother) 3.) If you are willing to spend a lot of money, go to an actual school with lectures.

Gastronomicom is a scam..............the directors are just looking to make money and don't care about the welfare of the students.....when i say the school online i thought it was too good to be true as it was cheap and it turned that way.
The administration is sooooooooooooooooo disorganised the students get to hear things through other students and not from the authority.
Before coming i told them that i had plans of setting up my own place and as a result would like to learn how to make wedding cakes and all and i was assured that they had a world class chef who will teach all that only for me to come and find out it was all false advertising. Then they made me pay for courier they sent to me which i thought was wrong cos i had paid the required 150 enrollment as was entitled to the mail.
Then during the 1wk break we were moved to a runned down building after telling us in a meeting that we were going somewhere else and they didnt have the courtsey to apologise or find out if we settled down well......
We were told we could choose where to go for the internship and but that of cos was a lie as they posted us to where they pleased and the advert said we would work in michelin star hotels but not everyone go to.......they didnt even send mails to assk if we got to our internship safetly.
They made people who came for the one month course join a class that was being taught in french at some point a student stopped because it wasnt helping and of cos no refund was given.
I wouldn't advise even my enemy to go to the school

I'm interested in taking one of the cookery courses at Gastronomicom. Could you share your experience about the curriculum/methodology, language of instruction, internship, legal aspects/do you sign a contract indicating any terms/conditions for the payment, study, and any other relevant information?

Thanks
